A real life story: Prior to our engagement, our Client's “exception percentage” – the percentage of total remittances received that had to be further processed when their market provider could not fully allocate or "kill" a payment was 7%. Based on our requirements gathering and needs analysis Regulus implemented business rule management, garnering a total exception reduction of less than 2% in 3 short months, and has continued to trend downwards over the past 12 months.

In addition, prior to Regulus, our client had 73% of payments that were Check Only received in the lockbox and returned to them for further processing. In the Regulus environment, our clients receives back less than 15% – a breathtaking 58% reduction and more importantly a significant cost reduction for our client. Additional processing enhancements have been identified that, after implementation, will further reduce the exception percentages presented above.
