Napa, CA –- July 16, 2007 – Sandra Williams,
Senior Vice President of Regulus, the nation’s largest independent provider of
paper and electronic-based bill presentment and processing solutions, will give
a presentation entitled “Making the Most of the Outsourcing Option” at the
Global Concepts Receivables Strategy Forum on July 16 in Portland, Ore. Ms.
Williams will discuss the changes that have affected receivables processing
within the past few years, including the rise of electronic payments and
increased regulatory oversight.
For the
first time ever, online households are paying a majority of bills
electronically, according to a recent survey conducted by Harris Interactive
and the Marketing Workshop. In addition, 69 percent of all households now
complete at least one electronic payment per month. Regulus’ Transactions² (T²)
suite of electronic products provides companies in the finance, healthcare, telecom
and utility industries with much greater control and visibility over their
billing and remittance processes.
T² provides
customers with a centralized, secure online database that makes the entire process
transparent, from the sending of an invoice to the receipt of a payment.
Customers use this database, which is fully customized to their individual
needs, to quickly and securely view customer transaction records. Whether an
end-user chooses to pay via print or electronic means, his or her payment will
be easily accessible through every step of the payment process. Most problems
can be identified and averted before they happen, saving time, money and
aggravation.
Best-in-class outsourced remittance providers, particularly
those like Regulus with transaction automation tools optimized for hybrid
payment environments, offer effective solutions for integrating disparate
remittance data. While companies can develop in-house solutions, receiving
e-payment data from multiple consolidators and payment processors in a single
custom format can prove to be prohibitively expensive. Integration of ARC and
Check 21 transactions can be particularly challenging and may require
significant IT and security compliance resources.
Formerly known as the Payments Forum, the Global Concepts Receivables
Strategy Forum takes a holistic view of receivables. The goal of the event is
to provide industry-leading research, case studies and networking opportunities
in an environment conducive to candid discussion. Forum members share
strategies for improving receivables processing and implementing new
technologies, as they learn from others' pitfalls, debate the merits of emergent
technologies and discuss industry issues.
“The opportunity to speak to my peers about critical industry
trends is a privilege,” said Ms. Williams. “Our industry is changing rapidly
and successful companies must work hard to stay ahead of the curve. Global
Concepts and its members are strongly committed to achieving best-in-class
performance.”
